Your Breakthrough Is Nearer Than You Think
Are going through some challenges, setbacks, or dark moments in life? Have you been searching high and low for your breakthrough? I want you to know that what you're going through is just a phase, a process. When everything that can go wrong goes wrong, you are on the brink of breakthrough!
The darkest attacks from the enemy come just before breakthrough from the Lord. It’s during those dark times that Satan will come to tempt you, taunt you just as he did with Christ (Matthew 4:1-11). His goal is to make you doubt what the LORD GOD said if He will ever deliver you. Whether the issue is in your family, your health, your finance, your faith, or elsewhere, I believe that the breakthrough God has in store for you is closer than you realize.
There are seeds that God has planted in you that are just about ready to spring forth. Think of a seed when it is planted in the ground, or a seed or a plant that grows through concrete like in the picture. The seed goes through so much discomfort and hurt before it finally sprouts from the soil. For a period, it may seem as if it is rejected, abandoned, and forgotten about. It seems impossible, but things that are alive always breakthrough things that are dead. When you are eating a piece of fruit, you may not even think of all the uncomfortable conditions, it had to go through before got it.
I am reminded of a time when I bought a seedless watermelon. I cut it up and put it in the freezer and when it was cold; I was ready for that cold, juicy piece of fruit. When I bit into it the taste was horrible. It tasted nothing like a watermelon. I said, “what in the world is this?” I clearly heard the Lord say, “everything I made has a seed.”
You are like a seed that has everything it will ever need to sprout and grow already within itself. When things seem out of sorts it’s tempting to look at outside sources for a sign of a breakthrough, but like a seed, your victory is within. While you are going through the germination process, I want you to look inside. Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. (1 John 4:4 ESV)
Scripture tells us, "Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world." (1 Peter 5:8-9)
Part of the reason the enemy is able to devour so many of us is because we try to fight him in the flesh, but the word of God says: "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." (Ephesians 6:12)
A breakthrough means you have busted through every barrier, every hindrance that has tried to keep you from achieving the desires of your heart. The devil will throw all he has at you but must have to have the tenacity to believe God and hold onto His promises no matter what comes. A breakthrough comes through faithfulness and persistence.
The LORD GOD wants you to stop listening to the lies from the enemy and remember that you have been delivered from the domain of darkness and transferred into the kingdom of his beloved Son, (Colossians 1:13). Therefore, turn your face toward God, pray and declare the word of God over/into the situation and lift your voice and give thanks to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:57)
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, thank You that Your name is powerful. At Your name, mountains shake and seas roar. At Your name, creation sings with joy. At Your name, demons flee. At Your name, every knee will bow, and every tongue confess that You are Lord. There is no power greater than Your name. The same power that you used to conquer death lives in me. May I experience your all-conquering power, today, Lord. You have promised to bless me abundantly and supply everything I need. Use your miracle-working power to bring a breakthrough in my life. May I see Your victory in my life. Amen. Amen. Amen.
