Prayer for the Homeless
Heavenly Father, I come to you on behalf of all who are homeless, for those who cannot afford to pay the rent and are fearful of becoming homeless, for all broken families, for all unemployed, for all the women and children who are alone without any help, for the elderly who are alone. Father, You know each of them and call them by name. You know everything about them when they sit down and when they stand up. You know their thoughts even when they are far away. I know that Your arm is not too weak to save them, neither is Your ear deaf to hear their calls. I ask You Father for mercy these Loved Ones. Bless them and keep them from physical and emotional harm. Give them hope Father. Comfort them as they walk this difficult path to the good plan that You have for them. Father, I cry out on behalf of the children whose families are homeless. Help them to overcome where they are and show them how precious they are in Your sight. Shield them from bullies and the plan of destruction that Satan has for them. Encourage them when other children say mean things about them because of their circumstances. Help the children to not become bitter and angry with their parents. Help them to make it to school and focus and study and excel in their work. Bless the parents Father God with the wisdom and the power to wrestle the shame and emotions that come with this situation. Give them hope, faith, courage, and the will to go on and rebuild their lives. Father open doors for jobs and housing. Bring them before those who can help them get back on their feet. Deliver them from every bondage and illness. Bring them to a place in You where they lack no more. God, I believe with You all things are possible. You met the need of 5,000 hungry people because one little boy was willing to be “open-handed” towards the poor and needy. Help us all to heed Your command in Deuteronomy 15 to open wide our hands to the needy and the poor. Remind us that little is much in Your hands. Father, bless me and the ministry You have given me, as well as those You send to help as we serve those in need. Please continue to empower and supply so that we have the resources to heed Your command in Deuteronomy 15 and Isaiah 58. These things I humbly pray believing that You will do, in Jesus’ name. Amen. |
