Meet Apostle Tina Morgan
Faith Under Fire Excerpt:
There have been some mountains and valleys I have had to overcome. The year 2002 was one of the most challenging years I have ever endured in my life. My husband got very sick. He lost so much weight. He went from 225 pounds to 115 pounds. I had just become a Christian, and this faith thing was all new to me. I was afraid he was going to die. We had been together for twenty years, I had known him half of my life.
It was hard to see him like this. I couldn't get him to eat, he had lost the taste to eat and drink and he wasn't responding to any of the medicines the doctors prescribed. He was at home fighting for his life. I called the ambulance at least three times a month. We were in the fight of our lives.
I left my job to take care of my husband. I did manage to keep the business, however. I know without a shadow of a doubt that God released supernatural strength to me because it would have been impossible to handle everything in my own ability. If I remember correctly, I don't think I even cried doing this time, I believed God had angels carrying me. All I remember was I just kept going and going.
Friends and family were few and in between, but I had an awesome pastor. His love for the people kept me reaching for Jesus and coming to church. My husband got sick a year after I was saved. I truly believe this was all in the timing of God. The Lord knew I would need His help, and He was absolutely right.
My husband was hospitalized and it was bad. I was sitting in his room and suddenly, his eyes went back in his head and he lost consciousness. I screamed for the nurse. They called his doctor, who came in and stabilized him. I almost lost my husband. The doctor told me they will try one more treatment and if his body rejects it there is nothing else they can do.
The doctor asked my husband was he ready to fight for his life, and I told my husband if you are ready to fight I’ll fight with you and he said in a whisper, “I’m ready to fight.” He made up his mind that he wanted to live. It was an uphill battle. They started the IV, but his body was rejecting the medicine and he would go into convulsions.
I went home that night and prayed. The Lord led me to take my anointing oil to the hospital that following day, so I did. I prayed and anointed the IV bag. I went home and came back to the hospital and found my husband sitting up asking for a barbeque ribs dinner. It was amazing, God had moved supernaturally! He had given us a miracle. My husband's body was no longer rejecting the medication. We were winning.
